Abstract:

Introduction: Usually osseointegration takes between three to six months after implant placement but patients are interested to have early loading. There are no definitive criteria for measuring bone mineral density (BMD), insertion torque (IT) (final torque force) and resonance FREQUENCY analysis (RFA) (primary implant stability) to determine exact loading time based on the relationship between the above-mentioned parameters. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between IT, RFA and BMD in screw-type implants.Materials and Methods: This clinical trial was conducted on 18 patients who were candidates for ITI implant placement. Written consent was taken and jaw bone density was determined via a digital radiography technique before surgery. After implant placement, RFA and IT were measured. Fifty-five ITI implants of the total 62 implants placed were evaluated; the implants were 12 mm long with a diameter of 4.1 mm. Data was analyzed with Pearson’s test using SPSS.15 software (a=0.05).Results: There was a significant relationship between IT, RFA and BMD. Pearson’s test showed a correlation coefficient of 0.872 to 0.789 between the three parameters, indicating a strong relationship between them. The mean bone density was 1.468±0.042 g/cm2; the mean RFA was 66.01±2.2 ISQ and the mean IT was 34.62±3.33 N/cm2.Conclusion: Based on the results of the present study there is a significant relationship between, IT, RFA and BMD (p value=0.001).

Abstract:

Inertial Navigation System (INS) is one of the navigation systems widely used in various land-based, aerial, and marine applications. Among all types of INS, Microelectromechanical System (MEMS)-based INS can be widely utilized, owing to their low cost, lightweight, and small size. However, due to the manufacturing technology, MEMS-based INS suffers from deterministic and stochastic errors, which increase positioning errors over time. In this paper, a new effective noise reduction method is proposed that can provide more accurate outputs of MEMS-based inertial sensors. The intelligent method in this paper is a combined denoising method that combines Wavelet Transform (WT), Permutation Entropy (PE), Support Vector Regression (SVR), and Genetic Algorithm (GA). Firstly, WT is employed to obtain a time-FREQUENCY representation of raw data. Secondly, a four-element feature vector is formed. These four features are (1) amplitude of FREQUENCY, (2) its ratio to mean of amplitudes of all frequencies, (3) location of FREQUENCY in time-FREQUENCY representation, and (4) judgment on behaviors of FREQUENCY that is obtained by utilizing PE. Thirdly, based on the feature vector, the GA-SVR algorithm predicts amplitudes of all frequencies in the time-FREQUENCY representation of the denoised signal. Finally, by employing inverse WT the denoised signal is obtained. In this work, the outputs of the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) in ADIS16407 sensor, as a low-cost and MEMS-based INS, have been utilized for data collection. The proposed method has been compared with other noise reduction methods and the achieved results verify superior improvement than other methods.

Abstract:

In some point of view, neither Michel Foucault nor Ibn Khaldun are considered philosophers in the conventional classifications, but both are very  important in intellectual and, of course, in philosophical contexts, especially for those who are interested in the deep study of human life from the perspective of political thought. The main concern of two thinkers, one in the 14th century, the other in the 20th century, is the issue  of power, although neither of them provided a precise definition of it. In this article, an attempt has been made to show the place of power and domination in the political thought of both thinkers by examining the thoughts of two thinkers. And in search of an answer to this question, how did Asabiyyah and industry of religion in Ibn Khaldun's thought and social control through self-technology and discipline in Foucault's thought lead to the expansion of the domination of power? This article is written by analytically comparing the opinions of two thinkers based on Ibn Khaldun's most important book called Muqaddimah and Foucault's late works

Abstract:

In this paper, a new high step-up current-fed LLC resonant DC-DC converter with a center-tapped transformer is proposed. By selecting the switching FREQUENCY to be lower than, but near to, the series resonant FREQUENCY of the LLC resonant tank, soft-switching operation of all semiconductors, i.e., zero voltage switching (ZVS) turn-on of power MOSFETs and zero current switching (ZCS) turn-off of diodes is achieved. This leads to lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) and lower switching losses and improves the converter efficiency. An interleaved structure is used at the primary side. Thus, input current ripple is smaller, and its FREQUENCY is twice the switching FREQUENCY. Consequently, a smaller input filter is necessary in practice. The converter with 1.2 kW output power and 760 V regulated output voltage with 80-200 V input voltage variations is simulated. The output voltage is regulated by using asymmetric pulse width modulation (APWM) at 200 kHz switching FREQUENCY. Finally, a 700-W prototype has been implemented and experimental results are also presented to verify the simulation results.

Abstract:

Disturbances in circadian RHYTHMS and sleep are very common in neurodegenerative diseases. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that leads to cognitive and mental disorders. Although it's largely unclear whether disruptions in circadian RHYTHMS and sleep contribute to Alzheimer's disease or are a consequence of the disease, it is known that these disorders play a significant role in the progression of the disease. According to recent studies, disruption of circadian RHYTHMS occurs in the asymptomatic stage of the disease and can cause nerve damage. Therefore, restoring sleep and circadian RHYTHMS in the preclinical phase may provide an opportunity for early intervention to slow disease progression. Most of the studies on the relationship between sleep/circadian RHYTHMS disorders and neurodegenerative diseases has been done in vitro or on animal models, but in this article, the results of the latest human studies are considered.
